About the new phase of the ISF that started July 9

The US CBP (customs and border protection) has announced 9th July, 2013 for beginning ISF’s (Importer Security Filing) liquidated damages phase. The ISF enforcement phases have been designed for helping CBP to make much informed targeting decisions with respect to high-risk United States-bound cargos. Beginning on July 9th, 2013, liquidated damages of nearly five thousand dollars for every violation will get issued for incomplete, untimely, or inaccurate filings.
